While other photographers are content with photographing beautiful flowers, Jon Shireman has bucked the trend and produced a striking photographic series showing various flowers, broken and shattered. Soaked in a liquid nitrogen bath for up to 30 minutes, then slammed at high speed against a surface, these flower fragments evoke emotions of heartbreak; of dreams crushed and stomped on.
