The Fray León house can be found on an expansive property in Santiago, Chile, and was built around a native Cryptocaria Alba tree. Designed by 57 Studio architects, the residence caters to a family who were after more space and a greater connection with their environment, without leaving the traditional Chilean neighbourhood where they had lived for the past thirty years.

Built in the shape of an 'H', twin pergolas extend the interior spaces outside, providing plenty of space for entertaining. The West wing opens up to an expansive garden, complete with a lap pool and outdoor entertaining area, while the East wing contains the home's sleeping spaces. On the second floor, more private rooms can be found, along with a terrace that looks out over the tree tops. This residence is full of high stud rooms, breezy entrance ways and plenty of glass for looking out at the lush and leafy vista.
