Poly Hexagonal bowls by Martin Zampach

Anna Coe - Friday, August 16, 2013

Martin Zampach, a Czech designer has recently presented his collection of Poly Hexangonal bowls. Constructed using a variety of materials, first using bits of cork, then they're coated with ash, maple or alder wood veneers. The cork allows each of the three segments (that each bowl is made up of) to be shaped accordingly so they lock in together. When displayed as a series they form a clever optical illusion and waver between being 2d and 3d objects.
