Starling Chair by Cameron Foggo

Christchurch based designer Cameron Foggo's new Starling Chair is available in both an indoor and outdoor version. The indoor version (pictured) comes with a thick leather seat sling available in tan, chocolate or black.  While the outdoor version is available in sturdy off-white canvas.

Homage to Mondrian by Cappellini

In what provided a somewhat breath of fresh air amongst the otherwise somber palate at the Milan Furniture Fair this year, Shiro Kuramata’s chest of drawers "Homage to Mondrian" evoked the Dutch artist’s characteristic squares and rectangles.

Radici for De Castelli

Landscape designer Patrizia Pozzi has designed this range of outdoor furniture for Italian manufacturers De Castelli. The chairs, tables, stools and even candle holders are all designed to be overrun with growing vegetation so that they eventually over time become one with the outdoor landscape.

Frank Lloyd Wright Lego

One of the most famous residential architectural icons of all time has been given the LEGO treatment. Frank Lloyd Wright's incredible Falling Water will shortly be available for your very own re-construction. A total of six of Lloyd Wright's buildings will be available including the Guggenheim museum. LEGO has released the new line as part of their Architecture series which is designed to inspire future architects, engineers and designers. No doubt the series will be popular with grown up architecture fans too. 



Ingo Maurer Euro Condom

In accordance with European guidelines the long loved frosted lightbulb will be banned from September 2009. In response German lighting designer, Ingo Maurer has come up with a bright idea. The Euro Condom consists of a thin heat-resistant cover that turns a clear bulb into a frosted one, providing protection from the realities of harsh lighting.

German artist Simon Schubert creates incredible art by intricate folds made by hand into paper. The outcomes are exquisite. Schubert's work is currently in display in Upstairs Berlin gallery in Berlin.

Andromeda lamp by Ross Lovegrove

The Andromeda lamp gets it's ambient light from clusters of light reflected back into itself by mirrors orientated to maximise their output and to freely distribute a very pure light. The lamps shape is reminiscent of an aquatic floating organism.

Named because of the 22 pieces of solid maple timber that are used to make up this chair, Jaime Hayon's new Twenty Two Chair displays the designers signature shapes. Featuring an upholstered seat and back with a leather covered tray under the seat.
