Baumraum is a german company specialising in treehouses. Baumraum creates a modernist twist on the tradition; uber-contemporary examples of mankind's design to nestle amongst nature's own. The Jungle House is one among several design templates offered and really is your home away from home. This pod-based lookout is strictly for grown-ups; an almost Bond-like hideout that yet retains the uncomplicated magic derived from an inherent need to seek a very personal refuge from the world. Baumraum do offer much maneuverability within the templates, with design and construction created to fit the client's needs and environmental constraints.

Photographer William Hundley has some interesting work on his site. None that pleased me more though than this little gem from his series titled 'Things I do in my garage with cheeseburgers.' Indeed. The works have been so popular that the photographer has noticed the 'Cheeseburger' series has been ripped off in the recently released Beck/ Charlotte Gainsbourg video for 'Heaven Can Wait.' Which is not so good.

The “Invisible Shoe”, above, is an asymmetrically mirrored low-cut boot, reflecting its surroundings and making the color of the world a part of your wardrobe. In which case everything would match perfectly.

Inspired by the work of Marcel Duchamp and his idea of elevating ordinary objects into artforms, designers MN*LS have developed a series of lights using the pages from small hand folded antique books to create the exterior shades of each light fixture.

More from the Pop-Up realm. The 94 x 275 x 200 cm installation, which is designed by by Liddy Scheffknecht and Armin B. Wagner, is constructed of cardboard. The entire structure folds into a portable flat panel.

The geometric shape called 'Möbius band' inspired this table in bent sheet metal with black or white lacquer finish. It can be used with or without a glass top. Proving that mathematics and  design can provide an original combination.
