Carved into the rising landscape adjacent to an existing cemetery, the Farewell Chapel in Ljubljana, Slovenia follows the contours of the landscape that surround the graveyard.
Constructed in polished concrete, larch wood and glass, a cross lays cross position on the rooftop of the main entrance way, functioning both as a religious icon and a luminous source of changing external light.
Originally created in 1965 by Riki Watanabe and produced by the Metropolitan Gallery in Tokyo ever since, the Carton Furniture Series is made completely out of folded cardboard with no adhesives, nails or screws. The stools are strong enough to hold most adults and all pieces are recyclable.

French architect and landscape designer Edouard François was commissioned to renovate both the interior and the façade of the Fouquet’s Barrière Hotel in Paris, located one block facing Avenue des Champs Elysées. Commissioned to develop the general plan of the whole hotel, including courtyards, administration offices and a spa service, spread on different plots of the “golden triangle”, along with the design of new façades for extensions. With the surrounding area considered one of the most elegant and expensive in Paris, the architects considered approach to the exterior façade has made a significant impression in terms of architecture and relation with the context.

Artist Ted Noten creates a variety of pieces including jewelery, but it's his handbags that appeal the most to me. I wonder how easy it would be carrying these onto a plane or into a restaurant or bar?
Noten often takes classic designer handbags and reworks them by adding various accessories such as gold-plated handguns suspended in acrylic, and gives them appropriate names like "Super Bitch".

Designer Jason Miller presented the Modo Chandelier at this year's ICFF in New York. The light's spoke-and-hub system allows it to be configured in dozens of different ways, to create lamps of almost any size and shape. All the parts are custom milled from solid aluminum.
