It looks like we'd have a heads up in a pillow fight with these cushions. The Lifewood Sofa by Antonio Citterio for Flexform is available in various sizes and finishes. With a timber base and feather filled cushions, it ticks all the boxes - without being ordinary at all.

Paisley, designed by LZF Lamps at the Luis Eslava Studio is a modular wooden screen made up of sinuous geometric shapes which convert the light coming through it. Painstakingly lengthy to make - its detailed woodwork sets it apart from other room dividers. Its modular design also allows it to work effectively in a variety of spaces.

If your home bar is a tad tired - and those old cocktail mixers, have well, made a few too many cocktails - then Arne Jacobsen's 925 sterling silver range designed for Stelton could be the answer to a few lazy days by the pool. The bar series consists of a cocktail mixer with a spoon, shaker, ice bucket, a pot with a icelip, small trays for wine-glasses and a serving tray. Perfect for summer.
Korean designer Sungho Lee integrates a battery-operated LED into the area near the gripping points of the clothes peg – letting the user become a do-it-yourself lighting designer. You can simply clip it to a folded sheet of white paper for an instant lampshade, or use it as a clothes peg in any capacity to add illumination to a variety of objects.
Using sound recordings taken from the streets of Cairo, designer Daniel Dendra created the complex patterns that feature on the underside of the Cairo Table. The asoustically-inspired topography meets perfectly flush with the table's base.

Italian designer Paola Lenti is the master of textile innovation in the design world. Using old craftsmanship techniques combined with modern technologies, Paola Lenti produces woven chairs that are as suitable outdoor as they are in. The Afra chair is part of the new collection for 2009.

To celebrate the launch of our second issue we threw a party at the head quarters of Rhubarb Lane. Once again our fantastic supporters Man O' War Vineyards and Steinlager Pure helped the celebrations along with their fabulous libations. And the good folks from the Ponsonby Road Bistro whipped up batches of their finest Mac n Cheese, all the perfect ingredients for an excellent knees up!
