Installation by Sopheap Pich

Anna Kidman - Saturday, April 30, 2011

Standing proudly at the Singapore Art Biennal, this incredible sculpture is by Cambodian artist Sopheap Pich. Employing materials such as bamboo, plywood, rattan and metal wire, he wanted the sculpture to represent the feeling of his home - Cambodia. Standing tall in the foyer of the National Museum of Singapore - it reminds us of delicately stacked birdcages.
