Surface Deposit Billboard by Lead Pencil Studio

Anna Kidman - Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Architects Annie Han and Daniel Milhalyo are both architects and artists who like to use unconventional architectural systems and new media to explore issues of spatial perception. As principals and founders of the Seattle architectural and installation art firm Lead Pencil Studio, their negative space billboard titled Surface Deposit is the most effective we've seen. Interested in visual typologies and the visual arts, Han and Milhalyo are primarily concerned with how to alter perceptions of existing objects and buildings. This billboard can be viewed at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in Arizona.
